That depends on the topic. For example QUIT is a 5-week plan. The HEART and SUGAR Journeys are 8-week plans. We developed each Journey in Steps that can be completed in one day. But we understand life sometimes gets in the way so we accommodate the pace of each member. Your Coach is there whenever you're ready to take the next Step forsward.
Some members start seeing changes in their health as early as the second week. However, everyone is unique. Consistent health changes can take as long as 6 to 8 weeks.

Great question! COGLIVING is designed to support any plan you currently follow with a healthcare provider that knows you. In fact you can share the results of the daily app progress with your healthcare provider. That will allow your Provider to stay in better contact with your day-to-day efforts!
The best predictor of success is your level of personal motivation. There will be moments during your 8-week Journey that will be challenging. We’re likely to address a few habits that took a while for you to develop and may take time to break. BUT our program has effective solutions! For example, if you're working on your SLEEP, there could be days you feel sleepy as your digital coach works with you to adjust your sleep habits. These moments will become less and less as you progress through the journey and achieve better sleep. No matter what health condition you're working on - working through any hurdles will be worth it if you achieve long lasting health improvements!
Your coach will offer daily sessions and sleep tips to help you achieve success. Things you share in your journal will allow us to personalize your journey to better health. Easy-to-understand feedback on how you’re doing is available anytime with a single click. By the end of your journey, we’ll help you assemble a personal Toolkit of the sleep improvement techniques that were the most effective for you.
We always save your place. When you're ready to continue, we're there for you. You can elect to resume - or restart from the beginning. We fully understand sometimes life gets in the way of the best laid plans. Your COG Coach will be patient if you need extra time to complete any of the steps forward. Our app was designed to accommodate each member’s schedule.
Yes. All of the COG health journeys are designed to accommodate the personal needs and schedule of each Member. Your Coach will always offer structure and guidance, but you will always progress at your own pace.
That depends on the journey. Most health improvements are BEST when you follow a structured Journey. Science shows improvements are more reliable if you follow the plan provided by your Coach. Decades of science have proven this structured path is the most efficient and most effective in achieving long-lasting improvements in your health and quality of life.
The first Milestone is always free – yes, free. No small print, no surprises. We believe giving every Member a chance to get a real feel for COGLIVING before having to make any financial commitment is important. If you decide you want to move forward after the trial period, you have a few options to consider. Some healthcare and employer partners will cover your costs. In that case there is no additional cost to you! If you are not supported with a COG Partner, the maximum cost can range from $15 to $30 per month. I use the word maximum because some COG partners have negotiated Access Codes. Ask your HR department if they’ve partnered with COGLIVING. Learn more about our Employee Benefit Plans.
COGLIVING is a wellness program. Healthcare insurance plans vary widely in how they cover wellness programs. The good news is the maximum cost to you, even if not covered by your healthcare insurance, is typically less than the price of one visit to a Healthcare Professional. If your employer elects to partner with COGLIVING, your cost might be substantially reduced or in some cases FREE.
Ok, you’re a perfect example of why CBTi techniques are recommended by healthcare professionals and sleep experts! The nation’s leading authority on sleep, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), recently issued a STRONG RECOMMENDATION for CBTi for all adults that suffer from chronic insomnia. Importantly, in the SAME announcement, the AASM said Sleep Hygiene alone (the rules you see in popular media) is NOT EFFECTIVE for people suffering from chronic sleep problems.

During your journey, you’ll be taken through the strategies of cognitive behavioral therapy for health. You’ll learn relaxation skills, how to change your negative thinking about healthy habits, as well as several behavioral strategies that will improve your habits.
Our COGLIVING YouTube channel will schedule forums from time-to-time where anyone can submit questions about health and one of our Coaching Team will offer live responses. If you can’t make the live event, any registered COG Members can watch the recorded event on our Youtube channel.

Such as learning how to handle stress or improve your nutrition to get better sleep and sustain a more active life.
Great question. There are two aspects to our COGLIVING App. COGLIVING provides structured health guidance and access to a wide range of expert Coaching and Tips to make general improvements in your health and quality of life. There are also several structured Health Journey that offer more specific actions to target specific health issues. Like heart disease, diabetes or poor sleep for example. The Health Journeys are designed to be completed in about 8 weeks. However, because each Health Journey is personalized for each member, the timing can vary a bit for each person.
Taking a Health Journey is an important step forward. Any member can select any Health Journey. When you Sign-Up we offer a detailed health and wellness assessment. Your answers will offer insights of which Health Journey is best for you. At the end of the assessment, you’ll be able to review detailed descriptions of each Health Journey. But we know things change, you can also elect to repeat or update your Health & Wellness Assessment at any time in the future. We'll update your plan based on what you share. You’ll find the assessment link in your PROFILE.
Many studies have shown that it takes several weeks for us to change our thoughts and behaviors. We are teaching our brain something new. We are learning new skills for the long term. It takes practice, commitment and motivation to form new habits. In addition, your journey will offer important information along the way. The COGLIVING app gives you the information and tools to make the changes you need to enjoy a healthier life.
Your daily activities include Coaching Sessions, Journal entries and periodic Check-Ins. Your coaching sessions guide your journey to better health. If you want, you can watch several sessions in one sitting, but you can’t go past the Sessions scheduled in your current Milestone. You’ll be able to complete a daily Journal. What you share will allow us to personalize your Journey. From time-to-time you’ll also have Check-Ins that provide additional feedback on your overall health and Goals. Altogether, it will take about 5-10 minutes per day. It’s a small investment for a healthier mind and body, which means a healthier YOU.
Your journey to better health is a personal experience. We may struggle with similar issues, but we're all different. You set your own health goals based on your values. We'll target things that are right for you. Your Coach will monitor your progress and tweak your Journey based on what you share. You'll set specific SMART goals that can be achieved, not broad or vague general goals. Your personal health goal progress is tracked based on your check-ins and presented to you every step of the way. You build your personal toolkit. These are a collection of the things that we learn “work” for you during your Journey. Each of these important topics are discussed in Coaching sessions and Tips.
Yes, if you give us permission, we can accept your health data from any wearables that are linked to your mobile health app. When you download our app, you’ll be able to give our app permission to access your health data. By the way that’s a excellent way to reduce the time it takes to complete your daily journal. Any data you elect to share is encrypted and stored on a secure, HIPAA compliant server.
This depends on you. Many studies have shown that it takes 21 days of consistent behavior on your part to successfully drop bad habits and adopt new healthy habits. We’ll give you the tools to do this. After you lock in your initial habits, you can move on to other habits you want to change. We also give you the tools for long term maintenance of these healthy thoughts and habits. Keys to your success are consistency and determination to complete your journey. We will talk more about this in later sessions.

Excellent question. It’s awesome that you have a provider that knows your history and is familiar with your care. Our App is NOT a replacement for your healthcare provider. Our Health Journeys can help you adopt habits to increase your compliance with your existing care plans. Another awesome feature is that you have the OPTION to share your health data and progress with any healthcare provider you wish. This will allow you to stay better connected with your healthcare provider. If you allow them permission, your provider can personalize your Journey to better health by setting reminders, offering goals, and scheduling specific Coaching content within our app.
Great question. Meditation apps, like Headspace, Calm, and others, take a totally different approach to wellness. You might have even noticed that ONE of our Milestones is focused on some of the similar techniques used in meditation apps. I placed emphasis on the word ONE because COGLIVING Journeys deliver a collection of multiple, scientifically proven techniques in a pattern constructed to overcome even the most chronic challenges. Take poor sleep for example. Though meditation apps can be useful and used in conjunction with our COGLIVING App, our Coach expands beyond simple relaxation.
